The Comics of David Rees

Since George W. Bush was elected in 2000, artist David Rees has been making his satirical clip-art comic Get Your War On. With plans to retire the strip when Bush is out of office, GYWO has been a consistently funny and insightful political comic for the last 7 years. As the change in presidency nears, Rees is working on a new comic called Relationshapes. Rees describes Relationshapes in an interview with newsarama:

Relationshapes is the hottest new comic for women. It's about relationships from a new point of view-- the point of view of geometric shapes. Basically, it's an opportunity for me to showcase some of the cool geometric shapes I'm capable of drawing. A lot of people think that because I use clip art, I can't draw. But if you spend ten seconds looking at the amazing shapes I have drawn for Relationshapes, you will see that I am a very good drawer-- especially when it comes to kick-ass shapes that can get you so pumped and excited!!! Also, I just liked the idea of trapezoids and octagons having arguments about really personal, uncomfortable issues.

Now see for yourself:
