International artists showcase talent in unique toy exhibition from May 18-31, 2007!
WHAT: MUNNY is a 7-inch tall, customizable vinyl action figure designed by renowned toy trendsetter and retailer Kidrobot. MUNNY can be drawn on, painted, dressed or even molded, and its versatility has inspired a creative movement among toy lovers and art world celebrities alike. Artists and designers from across the world will create custom vinyl pieces using MUNNY and other “platform” vinyl toys for this unusual exhibition. This year’s event will also include a toy swap before the
formal opening of the show with special giveaways and surprises! Over 50 local artists and 12 international designers will create a MUNNY for the exhibition!
Featured artists include Bil Betsovic; Neil Burke of Born Against/MRP/MONOROID; BURN353; CUPCO!; Lisa Marie Godfrey; Matt Kindt, creator of SUPER SPY comics; Jason Kochis; LE MERDE; Jim Mahfood, creator of 40oz Comics; Martin Mazorra, founder of CANNONBALL PRESS; NANOSPORE; Matthew Rodriguez; SHAWNIMALS; Ayako Takagi, creator of UAMOU; grafitti artists Justin Tolentino and Peat Wollaeger and many more!

WHY: The St. Louis MUNNY Show was organized to spotlight the phenomenon of custom-designed vinyl toys. The 2006 MUNNY Show (the first of its kind in the Midwest) was an enormous success and demonstrated the breakthrough popularity of vinyl toy culture.
